An object is placed on a long inclined plane which makes an angle of 25
o
with the
horizontal.
(i) Draw a diagram which shows how the gravitational force may be resolved into two
components, one parallel to the plane, and one normal to the plane. Calculate the
acceleration of the object down the slope. [2 marks]
(ii) The object is released from rest on a section of the plane which is smooth, (i.e. there
is no friction). Determine how long it will take the object to slide a distance of 1.5 m
down the slope. [2 marks]
(iii) Calculate the velocity of the object after it has travelled 1.5 m. [2 marks]
(iv) At this point, the inclined plane becomes rough with a coefficient of kinetic friction
between the object and the plane of 0.60. Determine the position of the object 10 s
later

i just need help with part (iv)
i know how to do the rest...even if you can help with the formula to use that'd be great.

Thanks :)

(i) = 4.2 m/s^2
(ii) = .85s
(iii)= 3.5m/s

btw....
