And how they completely did this 'experiment' wrong? As in they did not have a viable control group?
A friend if mine believes that the control group is the children that coloured, though she is wrong, I've just forgotten why.

It wasn't an experiment so much as it was an observation.
Children who watch sesame street perform better than children who watch spongebob. it is plain and simple. If you're mad that they aren't praising your favorite show then you need to quit deluding yourself about the intellectual integrity of Spongebob Squarepents.

Going just by that article, the study really does seem to raise more questions than it answers. For example, it could very well be that it's not fast-paced TV that negatively affects concentration, but fast-paced *anything*, including physical activity. They didn't control for that at all. Plus, 60 kids is a pretty meager sample size in the first place.
