At the risk of starting a flame war, can someone please explain to me why, as a chemistry major, I'm looked down upon my physics majors, and why I'm expected to look down upon the biology majors in the science department. I never understood this stigma on the hierarchy of sciences.

Protip: They're all shit-tier.

Only high-tier in the modern world is interdisciplinary.

The knowledge food chain.

You shouldn't be looked down on by physics majors, nor should you like down on biology majors. If you do, then you are a faggot. Sciences are very interdisciplinary the further you go along. In fact, chemistry and physics blend together when you get into things like thermodynamics and quantum mechanics.

I feel the same way. Obviously, these things build off of each other, so people should just take their interests/ talents and work with them.

You aren't.

I have attached a picture to help you understand the hierarchical relations of biology in the sciences

They're elitist jerks.

Sciences should all work together for the betterment of mankind, not separately and for bragging rights.

lolno

do you actually think psychology, sociology, or marine biology donate to the scientific community and the continuation of our species?
