Persons of /sci/ence...

I have followed the stickied link and found the chemistry links lacking, some because they were too simple and some because they where removed or otherwise modified so that I couldn't use them anymore.

Can anyone provide a better starting point to restart my study of chemistry (I had taken some classes in college, the minimum for my major, but I wish to start again and continue further... because chemistry is fucking hard and I give props to those who majored in it).

I don't mind buying books (I have some monies to spend on this) but I figured there are some chemistry-types here that would be more knowledgeable on what books would be the best starting point.

thanks for any help you provide

tl;dr: care to help a bro learn him some chemistry?
