Governments are trying to kep gold prices low so as to maintain/increase the power of their currency.
No businessman will go asteroid mining because the amount of metals would flood the market.
If you flood the market with gold, gold's price will drop.

Therefore, governments should go asteroid mining, Q.E.D.

Well, eventually all the gold in the earth will be mined so we'll no choice.

>It is an Amor asteroid, which means it approaches the orbit of Earth from the outside but does not cross it.

>Asteroid 1986 DA achieved its most notable recognition when scientists revealed that it contained over "10,000 tons of gold and 100,000 tons of platinum", or an approximate value at the time of its discovery of "$90 billion for the gold and a cool trillion dollars for the platinum, plus loose change for the asteroid's 10 billion tons of iron and a billion tons of nickel."[3]

I really hope Ron Paul wins. Just simply because he believes in what he preaches, and f it comes crashing down America will shift hard left.

Obama believed in what HE preaches too, but a month into the office he comes out of 'training' with 20 years on his face and a radically different set of goals.

I shudder to think what they have to learn.

Am I the only one that holds the view that the President should have more dictatorial powers?

I fully agree. With the corruption of of the congressional system, we need a little more action to make our country be able to control the China situation.

That being said, the Congress system was made specifically to create enough red tape to obstruct quick governmental change or dictation by an executive power

SCRAP IT.
Or at least the electoral college. Wyoming should not get as big a say as California.

I fully agree.
Although in return federal powers should be returned to the states, so we have a level of internal dynamics to keep total stagnation from hitting us.
