I'd bring Paul Samuelson back to life and let him be the Economist. That guy knew what's up.
Not sure about any political scientists, since that whole field has "IN MY OPINION" written all over it. I'd sooner pick some psychologist over a political scientist.
As for the science scientist, I'd go for someone like Neil Tysson. Enthusiastic, possibly persuasive and intelligent.
