I'd ask /lit/ but...

Which of Carl Sagan' books are worth a read? I'm not really /sci/ so I'm not into details and numbers but rather something like the cosmos series

I'm gonna get Cosmos, Contact, Pale Blue dot - anything else worth a read?

Probably pale blue dot, but I'd also recommend getting a book on quantum physics as well to broaden your spectrum of knowledge. A book such as The Grand Design by stephen hawking, it was a really good read into the batshit world that is quantum physics.

almost all of his books are completely out of date now, most of the things he talks about have already been disproven. you would do better if you buy a book from one of the new popsci poeple such as Kaku. unless you want to read about the history of science, but then there are other books much better than sagans stuf.

Both dragons and shadows explain why humans act the way the do, via evolutionary theory. For example, people prone to murdering their families tend to have smaller families and thus are evolved out. Most of human nature develops in this way. Xenophobia, imperialism, patriotism, racism, etc
