Anyway, on topic, the closest you'll come to the science of science is sociologist studying lab-coat culture or the philosophy of science.

But in terms of examining how science works, science is a subset of Bayesian reasoning. You don't hear this that often because the relation between Bayes and science isn't explicitly taught in a lot of classes.
