I have some questions about Quasars and Astrophysics in general. Anyone care to help out?

>Where would they be graphed on a Hertzsprung-Russel Diagram?
>Who is a person who played an important role in its discovery or research?

Quasars are formed when stars enter a super-massive black hole at the center of a galaxy forming a highly energetic accretion disk which makes them highly visible. Their luminosity is off the chart and they release mostly ultra-violet light .
