Hey sceintists,

Why are you guys deliberately covering-up or ridiculing any form of quantum mysticism in specific ???

But not the ideas that at first were deemed to be verry reasonable and likely ideas of how reality actually works just a few decades ago, but now have become the verry UNLIKELY theories of our understanding of the universe, due to new discoveries. Like 'determinism' and 'nihilism'(trollface).

The unlikely turned out to be the most likely face it, resolve it.

Because it's like regular mysticism with extra pseudoscience?

despite the obvious trolling, I partially agree. While I believe Penrose's orchard theory to be bullshit, a lot of the opposition towards quantum models of the brain has ideological roots.

No. It has "no fucking evidence whatsoever" roots.

The SUPPORT for quantum consciousness theories is ideological.

Quantum events at the atomic level are only observed under certain circumstances and were only observed for the first time under very tight ones. Circumstances in which the brain is not included. The brain is warm, wet, and totally not conducting (inb4 axons hur hur comedy).

There is <span class="math">\it{no}[/spoiler] room for coherence in the brain.

Also, the Bohr-Oppenheimer approximation tells us that quantum events only become prevalent with electrons, and biology does not make extensive use of electron transport.

No, synapses are not electrical. Those are calcium ions and that kinda shit spilling it, that and the sub-threshold neurotransmitters that don't go through synapses.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Ettinger

>Ettinger was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the son of Russian Jewish immigrants.

>Robert Chester Wilson Ettinger was an American academic, known as "the father of cryonics".
>He is considered by some a pioneer transhumanist on the basis of his 1972 book Man into Superman.

>He was also the founder of the 'Cryonics Institute' and 'Immortalist Society'.

along with many other indications one could might think so.

They even bribed Stephen Hawking with eternal cryonics/transhumanism in return for statements on the field of Religion.
To gain more influence and promote atheism, which is a subculture much more easyer to socially engeneer, just like communists.

Determinism is opinion-based, there's not enough proof to prove it 100% accurate, but the things we know up to now seem to form strong correlation proving deteminism

stochastic is used when some prediction can be made even when the involved elements are random. For example, we don't know if a given radioactive atom will decay within the hour, but we know there is a 40% chance it will.we

>> No.3888079

>>3888030
That's pretty much working on given data then, which is random.
E.g. There's 1 in 6 chance that the dice will land on 5, but if you included all the forces acting on it, you could predict what side it lands on.

Look, nobody knows if it is random or deterministic.
I only say the burden of proof is on the deterministic side.
Look the definitions on your own, you'll probably find a bettter explanation than mine.
