http://money.cnn.com/2008/03/02/news/companies/elkind_jobs.fortune/index.htm

>Jobs likes to make his own rules, whether the topic is computers, stock options, or even pancreatic cancer.

>During a routine abdominal scan, doctors had discovered a tumor growing in his pancreas. While a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is often tantamount to a swiftly executed death sentence, a biopsy revealed that Jobs had a rare - and treatable - form of the disease. If the tumor were surgically removed, Jobs' prognosis would be promising: The vast majority of those who underwent the operation survived at least ten years.

>Yet to the horror of the tiny circle of intimates in whom he'd confided, Jobs was considering not having the surgery at all. A Buddhist and vegetarian, the Apple (AAPL, Fortune 500) CEO was skeptical of mainstream medicine. Jobs decided to employ alternative methods to treat his pancreatic cancer, hoping to avoid the operation through a special diet - a course of action that hasn't been disclosed until now.

>For nine months Jobs pursued this approach, as Apple's board of directors and executive team secretly agonized over the situation - and whether the company needed to disclose anything about its CEO's health to investors.

Apple think different.

Buddah was a prince, and lived in comfort his entire life. Even when he started teaching his ideas.

When you see Buddah statues, what do you see? A thin, simple man? Or a fat man who obviously has not been subject to any suffering?

The fat Buddha isn't Buddha.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gautama_Buddha
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_Buddha

About Buddha:
Siddhartha (AKA Buddha) and a group of five companions led by Kaundinya are then said to have set out to take their austerities even further. They tried to find enlightenment through deprivation of worldly goods, including food, practising self-mortification. After nearly starving himself to death by restricting his food intake to around a leaf or nut per day, he collapsed in a river while bathing and almost drowned. Siddhartha began to reconsider his path. Then, he remembered a moment in childhood in which he had been watching his father start the season's plowing. He attained a concentrated and focused state that was blissful and refreshing, the jhāna.

According to the early Buddhist texts,[33] after realizing that meditative jhana was the right path to awakening, but that extreme asceticism didn't work, Gautama discovered what Buddhists call the Middle Way[33]—a path of moderation away from the extremes of self-indulgence and self-mortification.

>> No.3886373

I am glad that he died. I mean, how fucking retarded can you get? How the fuck was this guy a CEO? Was "flaming retard" a part of his job description?

I watched a video of some random girl on youtube crying about his death. As if some hipster girl crying over some guy she never even met wasn't rage-inducing enough, she basically credited Jobs with "creating a lot of wonderful technology for the entire human race" (not a direct quote, can't be bothered to rewatch that video). First of all, Jobs didn't create shit. Give credit where credit is due. You can thank the actual specialists working for Apple for all the "wonderful technology" Apple's brought forth.

Not to mention that Apple technology sucks ass (Macintosh may be the exception to the rule, I wouldn't know). Take a look at the iPad for example; it has way worse specs and costs more than some fucking random tablet made over 10 years ago, hardly supports anything and doesn't even come with a fucking stylus. What a bunch of bullshit.

I also heard that he was a terrible human being, unable to even feel empathy towards others. Despite being a Buddhist, he figured the best way of displaying his leadership skills (don't make me fucking laugh) was to be a total asshole to everybody.

One less retard/asshole, about 6 billion more to go.

On another note, I think I might be turning into a sociopath, as I literally felt happiness when I heard that he died. Oh well.

>But another dimension could be another universe if it's like the 6th or 7th dimension.

If a universe's worth of matter and energy is all squeezed into one plane in a four-or-more-dimensional stack of planes, and cannot interact with another universe's worth of matter and energy in the adjacent plane? Then they are, for all intents and purposes, separate universes.
