Why are you even asking this question?

Go back to community college. Transfer to a public university after 2 years.

I was out of school for a while myself. I still feel awkward around people 3-4 years younger than me, but I deal with it.

I actually think my education has benefited from this fact, because before I dropped out I only learned things for the exams, rather than for myself.

23. Taking 18 credit hours/semester I should be able to get my BS in Physics by 2013.

I've always been a bit of an autodidact, but none of my freshman classes caught my imagination, nor did I feel challenged. I became distracted by college social life.

I'm glad that this semester taking introductory modern physics, junior level E&M and PDEs, I actually feel challenged by the material.

My brain doesn't feel as sharp as it used to though.

I am another 23 year old who got waylaid from his career track. I am not even in community college, I am...wait for it..... STILL EARNING MY HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA!!!! I am taking the very first freshman classes since I dropped out in 9th grade. I had originally gone to sign up for the ged classes but by some eventful lifeline from fate itself the instructor informed me that I still qualified for courses through a computer program called platoweb. All my friends and classmates have moved on with their lives and I am still stuck in perpetual childhood. They own cars and even though they have crappy, dead end jobs, they still have money to do social activities. I should be studying right now and earning my first 4 credits online but instead I am posting on 4chan.

I don't know, maybe. I haven't taken a science or math course in 5 years and my marks weren't stellar then. I went to a community for computer network technologies since internets and network security also interest me and I graduated with a 3.9GPA. It's been almost 2 years and I haven't been able to find a job in the field. Thankfully, I've been working other jobs since I turned 18 so I don't have any student loans.

For the past two months or so I've had this almost sudden enormous interest in science; my two main ones being space and biochemistry. I'm really considering going back to school just because I want to learn, debts be damned. For the time being I'm doing practice exercises on khanacademy to refresh my mind a bit on the math that I haven't done for 5 years.

I couldn't blame those people though. The entire system was shit. These people would just sign up for classes with no idea how to achieve their goal. The fucking counselors there had no idea and would just give random advice. There were stories of people who took 9 years worth of classes and didn't need most of them.

I'm about to graduate, but IMO, school has hindered my learning. I don't like to schedule my learning, but in school I'm forced to. Like, at a particular moment, I would be interested in Math, but a Physics test or English paper would be coming up so I'd have to do that instead. I wish I could learn the material on my own and then take the test when I'm ready.

I don't even care if it would take 8 years instead of 4, but I think it would take shorter because I learn quicker what I enjoy learning.

I have said it once and I will say it again, counselors are some of the most useless administrative faculty ever. Have you ever seen their offices? They are littered with 3 foot teddy bears and flowers, posters with heartfelt poems written by the graduates. Meanwhile they didn't do jack shit to help the students pass. What is the most they ever do? Ohhh, they switched my lunches so that I could be with my friend. That's it. Even when they do some actual work like have your classes switched they don't do it right then and there. The whole week passes and then they call you in and switch your classes. Do you know how long it takes for them to do that? Less than 5 minutes. They literally make you wait all week long on something that took several different keystrokes. Do you know how much recognition the teachers who taught them how to read and write and do math? Nothing. They are also always going on a workshop like their job requires constant learning. The secretary who answers the phone could do their job. If someone has psychological problems they can't do anything since they only give a referral to psychologist. They should fire all the counselors and buy better textbooks for the students.

23 year old High School freshman here. I had dropped out cause I had wanted to take modules and credit by exams so that I could graduate quicker than the standard route. The counselor wouldn't give me the time of day and would just flat out denied me. The ironic thing is if I had just stayed and done the coursework as it was prescribed I would have graduated by now and would have been halfway through a bachelor's in engineering. I have vowed to get back on the ball and in order to do that I have to get my high school diploma, starting with the freshman credits that I need. I need a high school diploma since I want to join the Marines so that I may have university tuition payed completely payed for and no student debt. 23 year old HS freshman. I already am in the program to get a High School diploma right now so I don't care how long it takes to earn it I don't want to get a GED. I don't really think that having a GED is bad by itself and during the 5 years I was in limbo I researched the GED so I know what is involved. There is still a stigma attached to it and it is a only a status thing on my part that I want to have graduated with a High School Diploma. I have seen plenty of my classmates who didn't deserve it graduate and take a picture with mom and dad. The Marines though is so that I may have a greater chance of flying into space.

Not sure if trolling...

a) Getting a High School Diploma at age 23 or 27 or whatever is worse than just getting the GED and getting on with your life. The GED only has a stigma if that's your highest level of education, if you get it and go to college (even just a community college for an AA) they will look at that instead.

b) The Marines are not the correct branch to join if you want to get into space. The Air Force is your best bet, or Navy Aviator if you could swing that somehow.

c) The fact that you're a 23+ year old without a high school diploma means you will never go into space, unless some radical future change means EVERYONE has good odds to get into space, in which case your military history is irrelevant.

tldr; just get your fucking GED you pretentious dickwad, nobody cares that you think you're too good for it.

Freshman here. Implying that is were I am going to stop. How is it worse to get a high school diploma? No one will ever know when I graduated and none of my employers will care since I will have a college degree to go with it. I am not going to stop my education there, I am planning on studying for engineering.and using good scores on my SAT and ACT to get into a good 4 year university to study all the way to a Doctorate. I don't care if it sounds pretentious, I deserve that HS diploma. If I hadn't been for certain circumstances it would have been mine anyways. A GED stands for General Educational Development certificate that you receive after having passed a five subject test that is supposed to be the equivalent of a traditional, 8 to 5 daily, 4 year High School Diploma. Americbro here. Where do foundation courses fit in American education system? We have elementary (k-5th grade), middle school (6th-8th grade), and high school (9th-12th grade) then for higher education it's 2 year Associate's, 4 year Bachelor's, another year or two for Master's and however long it takes you for a Doctorate. How are you a Brit but have grades from Lithuania? What's the deal with Perth? Is it the people, like British chavs? How would you apply for a job from the US to an Australian mining company? To the anon who can't pay for school, try the military to see if they will cover your educational needs.

Alright. Thanks bro. I've been trying to make as many contacts throughout the math department but it hasn't resulted in anything yet. I'm going to start making calls tomorrow.

Allie sin is more a product of alcoholic, unstable parents and ineffective educational and vocational system. Her boyfriend at the time was in a crappy rock band named phoenix mourning. It was his idea for her to do porn so that she could fund the band. Here is a song by them. Tell me if it was worth it, for all the humiliation and loss of dignity, was their musical talent really something she heard and believed in? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOVSeDgCzJs Here is an award winning article about her.http://blog.mlive.com/flintjournal/extra/2007/10/foster_care.html Here are some torrents http://thepiratebay@org/torrent/4626674 and some more information and forums http://www.forumophilia@com/topic17193.html
