This board could easily be improved but it would take some mods/janitors.

1) delete troll threads on sight
2) ban trolls
3) warn users that this isn't /b/ and if they want to be mindless dicks then they should keep it there
4) don't go overboard with 3... sometimes being a dick is justifiable

If you look through it, there's a lot of good stuff on this board with some competent and helpful posters. Unfortunately they're buried beneath mounds of shit, most of which spills over from /b/.

This is one of the boards I most frequent on this site, and I enjoy the content on here a lot. I always find links to interesting lectures and articles, sometimes people actually answer questions I have, and even though its sometimes snuffed out by no-fun bots there is a degree of humor here that you can't find on other boards. That being said, this board is a gold nugget under a massive pile of dog shit. This is the collective dumping ground of the remaining derelicts that used to frequent /new/ and /b/tards venturing out for their first trolls. That aside, its full of legitimate posters who are just genuinely douchebags. And fucking homework threads, jesus fucking christ. To be honest though, I'd rather see teenagers discussing math than trolls discussing god. This board might have to be axed, but I think that its best cleaved in twain. You hear me moot? You need at least science board on this website (I know about /g/, its not the same). If you could save this board and make a /phi/ board, I think we'd be alright.

What I'd like to see from the mods is for them to stop overusing the "delete all posts by this IP" button when they ban someone. It's annoying as fuck to have half of a good thread suddenly disappear because one of the posters (or someone with their IP address) got bored with legitimate discussion and posted a "niggers have low IQ" troll. They ought to at least look at the posts they're deleting.
