Whats up with profs who give really hard assignments and lectures, yet easy tests...

>> No.3863163

They're better than the ones that give easy homework, but than fucking crazy test problems, provided that homework is worth less than ~10% of the grade.

Dunno how that got in there.

I agree, I had a class that was

33% test 1
33% test 2
33% test 3
3 homework assignments that are a 10% bonus on the test

It was great.

100% for difficult exam
or
70% for difficult assignments
30% for difficult exam

max{Final Exam, Grade for rest of the course}

My favorite kind of class.

my all time hate

>hard test
>TA's grade most of test
>if you get the right answer but go a different path or don't show one step in your work, -7 out of 10 points.

>one step away from the answer on test
>your whole work is -10 out 10 for shits and jiggles

>whoops went through 4 steps and then accidently take the cos(theta) instead of the sin(theta), -8 out of 10

all of my hate, just happened to me.

now i have to wait for his tuesday office hours to get to talk to him about his asshole grading.
