I'm half way through the physics book recommended by Randall Knight (or whatever his name is) and have already completed the 5th edition of Stewarts Calculus.

Next is linear algebra.
Best linear algebra texts?
First year only, please.
Starting university next year and want to catch up.

Linear Algebra and Its Applications by David Lay 4th edition

I enjoy it very much. It was designed for scientists and engineers but still covers all the math

they made the 4th because the 3rd solution manual got leaked pretty badly.

get the third and torrent the manual (if self studying)

however i recommend the top one, by curtis, published by springer. it's the purest intro to LA.
