1: Static Equilibrium
2: Load-Deflection
3: Deflection Compatibility

That's all you need for statically indeterminate problems.

same feel as when you have QM hw due 8am today and havne't learned shit in last 4 weeks?

<div class="math">\mathsf{T} = \mathsf{c} \mathsf{S}</div>
<div class="math">\mathsf{S} = \mathsf{s} \mathsf{T}</div>

where <span class="math">\mathsf{S}
is the strain tensor (3x3), <span class="math">\mathsf{T}
is the stress tensor (3x3), <span class="math">\mathsf{c}
is the stiffness tensor (3x3x3x3) and <span class="math">\mathsf{s}
is the compliance tensor (3x3x3x3) (yes, I didn't mix the two of them up, the most common symbols are actually switched around).

Also

<div class="math">\mathsf{S} = \mathsf{a}(T_0) \Delta T</div>

where <span class="math">\mathsf{a}
is the thermal expansion tensor (3x3), which is a function of temperature, and <span class="math">\Delta T = T-T_0
is obviously the difference in temperature from the temperature the tensor is known at.

That should be quite enough for what you need.

that feel when you've finished university, got an honors masters degree, but dont want a job because you really just want to work for yourself

Just write out all the equations you can and try to relate them. That usually works if all else fails in terms of understanding.

Mechanical engineering senior here. I just recently finished a 6 month internship with a company that makes large machine tools.
