We know it's possible now. How long until prototypes are built?

Jesus shitfuck it might be something to do with neutrinos alone, I haven't checked but YOU PROBABLY AREN'T A NEUTRINO

I'm going to wager between 70 years and a century.

What is needed will be replication of results, larger mass acceleration, and of course, a more compact system that will produce the energy needed to achieve acceleration of large bodied objects, and of course, funding to see a project such as this to conclusion and testing.

If the results are duplicated and without a doubt FTL speed has indeed been achieved, then HOLY SHIT.

I will be the first to say the following:
"I'm glad the Light speed barrier has been broken and it is possible to move FTL. This is a major upset to everything we thought we knew about mass and acceleration, this will redefine all known relativistic laws and further our knowledge beyond what we initially thought capable."

Why bother with spacetime warping or wormhole travel if mass can be accelerated to FTL speeds? If a way to move large masses at FTL speeds can be found, we can finally, and with a reasonable limit, finally move out into the stars and begin deep space exploration and settlement.

I look forward to seeing the final results of examination and duplication. If this is so, then I would gladly join others in pooling my money for a large scale ship to be built.
