What's the best way to teach yourself organic chemistry?

pic related, my face when trying to read the textbook

Read the sticky.

There are a ton of great sites for learning A-Level Chemistry.

If reading the textbook doesn't help, it's time to quit the course.
Seriously, you seem to be wrong in organic chemistry.
Look for something that better fits your abilities.

You may need to go back down a level or two and rebuild a foundation to jump from.

general chem was a breeze and i even passed orgo I decently
I did fuck all during the summer and now trying to do part II is proving to be more difficult than i thought

Best way is to remember all the reaction mechanisms, and the reactions themselves, and the reagents, and the conditions for each.

Org chem is bitch, no easy way to learn it.

Chemfag here

I honestly learned best from the book. Maybe you should write down all reactions discussed in class and make a list. Know these reactions, how they happen, exceptions to them, etc. Then make up crazy ass molecules and try and see if you can do them. Do all assigned problems.

In short practice is the best way. Also, don't feel bad about having trouble, alot of uni's make it a trial by fire course to weed out the pre-meds who can't handle it.
