Is there any website online (Do not mind paying) which offers half decent IQ tests?

I have never taken one and most people I speak to tell me only real IQ tests are done in examinations places, mensa for example

I've hardly ever even lurked /new/. This is not about race at all. I am merely quoting well known scientific evidence about IQ.

And it is very relevant since that poster said "IQ is bullshit." This is a thread about IQ.

How we quantify and measure intelligence i would certainly argue is up for debate. Cognitive dissonance with the prior statement. If the metric that is IQ is largely genetic and heritable, then it is obviously a valid metric. What you are saying is almost absurd. It's akin to saying: "Eye color is genetic and heritable, yes. But the way we discern eye color is wrong." If eye color (or IQ) is highly heritable and genetic, then that can be taken as positive evidence of its validity.

I'm not from /new/! Why do you keep assuming this? Why do you jump to the idea that race is even on my mind? The research I quoted above is pretty mainstream. It specifically says that they found genetics to be associated with *individual* differences in intelligence, not necessarily group differences in intelligence.

"intelligence" in every day language is associated with a vague concept, so vague that it is rather useless for sience. So, for sience, reserchers created som other concepts of intelligence that ar mor precise than the everyday one (or ones).

These concepts can be shown to be valid, and being valid means that they ar able to predict varius things with consistency. Numerous studys find that this is the case with the concept(s) of intelligence used in intelligence reserch today.

But yes, ther is som variance in how reserchers think about intelligence, wich has prompted som reserchers to simply define "intelligence" as watever IQ tests measure, and perhaps that is a good way of defining it. Other definitions ar somwat vague but clearer than how the word is used in everyday language.
