The logarithm function finds an exponent, which is repeated multiplication. Is there an equivalent for repeated adding?

>> No.3646771

What would a graph of it look like for say, base 10?

Multiplying

Would minilog100 = 0.1 in minilog base 10?

Repeated adding is just multiplication. The inverse of that is division. So 1/x?

>> No.3646811

subtraction -additive inverse
multiplication - repeated addition
division - multiplicative inverse
exponentiation - repeated multiplication
roots - exponentiation inverse

logarithm - repeated exponentiation?

>> No.3646826

Logarithm is finding the exponent, so minilog is finding the other half of a multiplication.
In the example above, 100*0.1=10. So minilog100 in minilogbase 10, (the common minilogarithm) would give 0.1.

>> No.3646830

It's called finding a factor. Morons.

>> No.3646853

Thats the same as (minilogbase)/x. Or hell, minilogbase/constant=x.

Ah, but do you have reaction images?

... there haven't been any itt either

for the pair a, b: log_b (a) finds x so that b^x=a
for the pair a, b: a-b finds x so that b+x=a

exponentiation is non-commutative so it has two inverses

This is nonsense.
Repeated addition is... multiplication.

Add 5 to itself 100 times.

That's 5 x 100.
