question:

For the reaction
?C6H6 + ?O2 → ?CO2 + ?H2O
40.8 grams of C6H6 are allowed to react with 111.8 grams of O2. How much CO2 will be produced by this reaction?

2C6H6 +15O2 -> 6H2O +12CO2

You use the magical periodic table to add up the elements and get:
C6H6 = 78.11 g/mol
O2 = 15.9 g/mol

Now you figure out which one is fucking up the equation by running out:

111.8/15.9 = 7.03144654 mole of O2
40.8/78.11 = 0.522340289 C6H6

.5/2 = 1/4
7/15 = 7/15
7/15>1/4

C6H6 is the limiting reactant.
use the equation with 0.522340289 moles of C6H6 and you get your answer.

also, stop being so fucking stupid.
