Define the unit circle as the circle formed by graphing y=sqrt(1-x^2); ie, a circle with radius 1, centered at the origin.

Define pi radians as the distance around a circle such that you've got to the opposite side of the circle. 2pi radians is 360 degrees.

sin(radians) is the y coordinate on the unit circle at the appropriate radian distance. cos(radians) is the x coordinate at the equivalent. The rest is lemma and corollary.
