AP Statistics. What a fun little class. What a devious little fucker.
First semester was easy; I got a 98%. I not only raped but pillaged.
Second semester. Holy fucking all of my what.

Possibly the most difficult semester I've ever had in highschool. I had a 68.2% at the 12-week mark. 68.2 PERCENT. I'm an upper middle-class white; I only ever got A's!
I shunned everything the next 6 weeks. Got a B. GPA was only 4.5 this time. FML

No, no. I understood the word problems. But those concepts... They took me forever to get. Maybe it was the teacher, maybe me. 90% of the class failed.

I know.
I want to be a neursurgeon too.
A "B" is like saving someone from a life-threatening tumor but accidentally and permanently disabling their control of their left arm.

Implying that compared to his eventual salary that won't be pocket change.

Assuming he isn't lying, being a neurosurgeon, money would be the least of your worries.

What's the point of making tons of money if you don't have the time to enjoy it until you're an old piece of shit?

Wackerly's Mathematical Statistics with Applications

Chapters 8 and 9

My sister works as a writing tutor in the english department of a major med-school-feeding university.

She tells me that, of the legions of med-school applicants who come to her to go over their application essays, the vast majority are obviously just in it for the money and the rest are forced by their parents.

And you can just tell anyway. Just look at your typical pre-med. Does he/she look like an altruistic person? I'm betting not.
