Fucking Math, how does that work?

((2 miles/day * 280 school days a year) / 20 mpg) * $3.79/gallon = $106.12

That's $106.12 a year I don't have to waste. That's also not including the cost of parking on campus. I'm a poor-ass college student, every dollar and cent I can scrounge counts.

go to /n/, bet you don't know they are good with that sort.

Me, I have a road bike and a motorbike that get 300km/8L, but it costs more on insurance and sometimes it can get cumbersome with helmets, jacket, parking so yeah, anything within 200km, I ride my road bike. Having a car is kind of good, but then gas, insurance, parking, fixing, maintenance. And then rush hour remind me that I am just as fast, maybe even faster than cars getting in and out of work.

Extremely short trips are "severe service" for automotive engines, if you're not even driving long enough for the heater to warm up you're hurting your engine.

I always rode my bike to college, snow, rain, who gives a fuck, the car's not even worth it trying to find parking.

You've obviously never been on a bus before.
Buses are the worst place to have any good opinions of people. Ever. After a year of having to commute via bus, you'll want to not look at other people anymore. Assuming you do it regularly and on a schedule, you will see regulars, but they will also see you.
That glance you gave to that new hot chick? They saw that. When you awkwardly kept standing when there was one free seat available but it was taken by a douchebag/fat person/black person? They saw that. In the end, you will feel disgust at the other regulars, and they will feel disgust at you. And anyone that will willingly go out with someone they just met on a short bus ride is obviously crawling with all sorts of diseases.

But hey, your call. It might get you off.

>> No.3584147

fuck, I can't even afford bus pass, bike is the cheapest/most efficient mode round here. Actually I refuse to use the bus, fucking slow, late when you're early, early when you're on time, when show up ontime, it's full of crazy people, never go straight to where you want to be. The only upside is AC, and I can sleep on long ride. I had developed a skill of getting up just before or just after the stop I have to get off. Extremely useful.
