How does /sci/ feel about eugenics?

>> No.3560985

It's unethical.

>> No.3560989

It's a complex subject. I support it, but some think it's racist

>> No.3560991

Sure, depends on what you're trying to eliminate though

I have no vested interest in how the human race turns out (and I don't see how anyone else can). I see no point in any kind of eugenics except to lower the future suffering of humans by removing genetic diseases but there are other ways to do that. I don't think it would be ethical anyway.

>> No.3561062

Some retards think that it means nerds suddenly would get laid a lot or something.

I'm against it, because I've no idea what criteria politicians would set and if so, I'd be allowed to have kids.

>> No.3561084

There is nothing wrong with eugenics. Unfortunately the average moron associates the word with genocide, so it will be a long time before it is properly implemented.

>> No.3561093

I feel it's the solution, because of what I see everyday.
Also lots of moneys saved because of no money wasted having weird illnesses, for one thing.

Also, we should have a technocracy

>> No.3561112

we don't necessarily need "superior" people. Just less people, and less lazy.
