What do you think is/will be the pinacle of human creation and/or technology.

If we were all hypothetically killed, like the human species was eradicated, what do you think a future intelligent species or an alien visitor would find and decide that we were intelligent?

I was watching EOE again and this just kinda popped into my head.

The pinnacle of anything is conceiving all of physics lolo poor dumb humans

>> No.3527888

i think its more about knowledge, than technology. out combined collection of knowledge.

>> No.3527899

nothing we leave behind will suggest intelligence.

"yeah, these nitwits figured out atomic power, but only used it to kill each other instead of building a (badass futuristic machine) and achieving (insert name of really cool technology here). morons."

So what would that be? A library? Some sort of data disk on a satilite that has everything we've ever written in every language we have? But how would aliens/other intelligent species read it?

Probably our communications networks. The thousands of cable crossing the Earth's oceans and the satellites way up in geosynchronous orbit are a testament to how far we'll go to move information around our planet.

art. there's no way a species capable of interstellar travel is going to be impressed by things like the iPhone and nuclear weapons. our art however, could be quite unique in the universe.

In "Forbidden Planet" there's a machine that converts ideas into physical objects, ie you think about something and it exists. That seems about as good as it gets.

we can decode ancient languages and animal languages, aliens should be able to decode ours, especially if there are a bunch of learn2inclish for 1 year olds books.

Obviously, the pinnacle will be when we create, through nanotechnology and genetic energetically, a superior race of cyborgs to replace us as the dominant species on Earth. We will have become gods.

A Carbon dimer deposition tool, a symbol of the absolute control of matter at the level of individual atoms, machinery with the greatest precision and efficiency that the laws of physics allow.

Too bad diamond is metastable at room temperature so all this shit will crumble to dust. Ah, well: Entropy as usual.
