So, would you consider Wonders of the Universe to be the top-tier science show that's currently airing?

>> No.3504252

All "science shows" are shit tier.

Read a book.

I like it a lot, and I also partake in "real science". Brian Cox is good at what he does.

I don't profess to be any more than a somewhat-more avid fan of physics and astronomy, but I have yet to have any moment while watching WotU where I thought to myself "That's just wrong" or "That's worded horribly," like I have while watching Through the Wormhole or other modern science shows.

>> No.3504387

its very good. the best show since Cosmos.

>> No.3504404

Wonders of the Universe is a great show.

I sort of got tired of through the wormhole since it was just morgan freeman talkin pseudoscience

I fucking hate Through the Wormhole. It's such horseshit half the time. But I guess that's what American viewers want... <span class="math">\ddot{\frown}[/spoiler]

Yeah, I can't stand what Pop Science people like to watch. Herp derp are we god or is god us destiny wormholesaliensmorganfreeman.

Screw that, give me a show that doesn't assume I'm a dumbfuck American. Give me one that assumes I not only want to be entertained, I want to learn a little bit more than what I already knew, or at least get a firmer understanding about things I think I know.

Blame it on capitalism. Everything is good to make money, fuck ethics, fuck humanism, let's not raise up the bar, let's just make money.

You have to have IDEOLOGIES, IDEALS.

Fixed.

Seeing how Science and Technology progressed this last century, we can only have but massive amounts of justified hope for a brighter future.

Why isn't Moeka seated next to Okabe?

I would guess it's because Steins;Gate references Norse Mythology as opposed to the New Testament, but The Last Supper is a MUCH more recognizable piece and I'm disappointed the artist didn't take this opportunity to parody it.

Elon Musk it indeed inspirational. In college, he came up with three life career goals:
1) do something cool with the internet
2) help us live sustainably on the planet
3) help us become a spacefaring civilization

Over the course of time he successfully worked on all three lofty goals:
1) Founded and sold PayPal
2) Chairman of SolarCity, and runs Tesla Motors
3) Founded and simultaneously runs SpaceX

What a guy!

(P.S. a lot of his fortune was due to godly timing: PayPal during the internet boom, Tesla as gas prices started to rise again, SpaceX as the shuttle was winding down and COTS/CCDev was ramping up)
