Is this guy legit? I keep seeing thread all around saying this or this scientist was a scammer, especially Tesla.

What is /sci/ opinion on Newton? A great mind? I am currently learning how he contributed to science, I have to catch up because I hated school once

If he didn't invent gravity, we would be able to fly now.

OP here,
>invent
ho u.

>> No.3476836

Tesla was legit, but a little crazy. Edison was a complete asshole though.

>> No.3476834

He was a big time Alchemist. And he stole Leibniz's work.

But he did invent the apple, so there's that.

>> No.3476844

Im sure if we took a poll of greatest scientist ever, Newton would win.

Who are close? I am doing my books right now about general science, and all I see about is Gallilé, Newton, Einstein and archimedes(well, he was a scientist of his times)

U just mad and jelly because Edison trolled the fuck out of Tesla.
Also Tesla is a Croat.

Meh, he's got a lot of competition: Aristotle, Galileo, Copernicus, Kepler, Pasteur, Einstein, Schrodinger, Pascal, Oppenheimer and my personal favorite, Paul Mueller who possibly saved more lives than even Pasteur.

OP here, I watched an anime called Hellsing which is about vampires and nazis, and one of the nazis was called Schrodinger. Any connections? I will look more into this guy later, sorry right now I'm looking at Newton's work.

He invented calculus, laws of motion, laws of optics...
Then he turned 26.

I'm not saying he's the greatest scientist ever. In fact I don't believe in labeling anyone as the "greatest scientist". All of them are.

no evidence of this, was a dick about the whole thing but no evidence he stole work.

because you didn't google it first.

And schrodinger's trappishness doesn't make up for Hellsing's bad writing.

Am I really expected to believe that having lived for decades now, Alexander Anderson has only JUST met Alucard? A rare case where filler material is actually desperately needed.

That's the bullshit that crackpots attribute to him. We owe the man for AC power. Edison was sucking DC's dick ALL day long.

He did plenty of work that was actually fruitful.

I'm just personally more impressed with his ability. I think it's fascinating that he could imagine and test a prototype in his head without making a physical model, or visualize an object so vividly that he couldn't tell between his imagination and the real thing. Great visual thinker just like Einstein.

All anime are not perfect. There's plenty of work you could say the same. However, this one has way much more good parts then bad counterparts.

It's a really good show, deal with it.

Fun fact you didn't know:

Alucard is Dracula backwards.

Hey, I never said it was a bad show, in the same sense that StarCraft II isn't a bad game. They both have really shitty writing though.

Dear Lord, i know majority of what you call Animu is just awful, but this particular show is just ridiculous.
Is this some kind of satire or what?
The historical, technological, physical, logical and linguistic inconsistency makes me want to vomit, and i've only skimmed the first Episode.
I seriously hope you didnt watch this entire Show.
