What is the most offensive word in the English language?

I know "kike" is somwhere up on the list, but has anybody offically declared a word?

In British English it's generally considered to be 'cunt'. I think it varies though from country to country. In America it'd probably be 'nigger'.

I'm an American and I think "cunt" is probably the most offensive, though people seem more offended when I call them a "twat," which could be due, in part, to the fact it's rarely used.

If you just throw words around they lose meaning, so, yeah, I'd say "twat," just because it's almost never used.

Canadian here. Cunt is never used, but to a degree that it's not really offensive. I was raised in a way that provides difficulty when swearing, but cunt is one I can say naturally, due to low exposure.

It is funny how offended people get by hearing that word. I remember how bent out of shape people got about gay people 10 years ago, but in class a couple of months ago some student came out to everyone as being a lesbian and everyone was like 'good for her' and the professor commended her for her courage. I mentioned to the same professor, who has a master's in counseling psychology (derp) and is supposed to be compassionate and supportive and accepting and all that garbage, that I happen to be an atheist and she got all agitated. Didn't want to talk about the assignment I had come to ask her a few questions about after that, and only wanted to ask me why I'm an atheist and started trying to convince me I'd change my mind one day.

"Cunt" probably in the UK, but here in America it's probably one of the words aimed towards minorities, such as "Nigger", "Faggot" or "Beaner".
