Hello!

I want to major in neuroscience, but it seems that there are very little career options for that. Thoughts?

Neuroscience is just getting started and will be huge in the future.

Well what else are you considering?

What are your other interests, and is this for undergrad or graduate school? There are definitely many careers in neuroscience. If you googled it I'm sure you would get more suggestions, but off the top of my head, Neuroscience would go fantastic with a minor in biomedical engineering, allowing you to work on technologically advanced treatments for brain ailments. Research is an option no matter what.

If you are in the US, there are many educational paths that a Neuroscience background would be beneficial. You could use that knowledge in Pharmacutical School, to study how drugs react with the brain. You could go to medical school with that degree and eventually complete your training in a neuroscience-related field, such as psychiatry or brain surgery.

I'm very much into psychology, but honestly I figured I'm smart enough for neuroscience anyway.

Other things I'm considering: psychobio, cognitive science, sociology, etc.

I'm great at other sciences (bio, chem) but I just don't feel a passion for them.

Neuroscience major here

If you're going into neuroscience and want to do research you should dual major or minor in computer science. You need computer experience

If you're more interested in medicine, neuroscience/premed is a great combo. You only need to take a few extra classes.

There are a ton of opportunities for research and medicine.

Don't pick a major just because it's a "smart person major", Your intelligence can be applied substantially to any field. A lot of my nerdy friends in high school laughed at me for going into Biology, now I make twice their salary.

Of course you'd make quite a lot of money with biology, but with psychology there just aren't that many jobs.

If I may ask, what is your job?
