You get better at it with time.

I used to average at 8~9, then sometimes I went into a semi-trance kind of focus and managed to pull dual 11 backs, but I got all kinds of dizzy and nauseous afterwards

Yep. Some people can even reach 4-5k when reading light literature - this isn't skimming.

I had meant for it to be challenging, and that's reflected in the achievement name. :D

okay I'll throw some ideas
Sink or Swim: Attend a class where the teacher has missed more then 25% of class days, and you still have to take his final

Well this was money well spent: Attend a class where a text book you bought for that class was never used

Babby's first College: Attend a Community College class

Wait, I did all that for this??: Pull an all nighter the day before the test and have the test postponed at least 24 hours

My Third and Final Form: Attend a class with only 3 tests, with the third test being the final.

Rat deserting the sinking ship: Join a study group only to abandon it after the first meeting

Well that was pointless: Get an associates degree in anything

>> No.3408782

This is badass. Perhaps we could use results to find more efficient studying methods.

>> No.3408973

Hyperbolic Time Chamber: Take a summer class
in any math class that is above College Algebra, or any science class that is above it's college entry level.

>> No.3409644

i like the structure, not a fan of the linearity at the moment though, it would be better to be able to group them, possibly by field

anyway, post the source code when you're done, this could be as useful for internet communities as wikis.

>> No.3409657

here's some;
getting greener;
own a sample of radioactive material which emits radiation equivalent to 10 microsieverts per hour

got a license for that?;
own a sample of radioactive material which emits radiation equivalent to 40 microsieverts per hour

NRC disaster zone;
own a sample of radioactive material which emits radiation equivalent to 70 microsieverts per hour

film badge of honor;
receive treatment for radiation poisoning.

ok, that last one probably should not be an achievement so much as a failure

Primordial OP here.

>>3409644

That was the idea, unfortunately I know squat about how to implement such a system beyond simply drawing it menially in Photoshop.

It should branch like the Khan practice session chart.

Also, most of the recent entries aren't achievable by your average student - they were supposed to form the foundation of science universally in addition to some difficult, but UNIVERSALLY FEASIBLE marks of excellence and student/academic life.

Feel like I've lost grip of my baby. At this point I don't really care what happens, just... a final bump.

about http://sci.mmbr.no/
- Only one column sucks big time, do it as the /fit/ chart
- Make the mouse visible
- A way to save progress(already marked achievements)

>> No.3410407

>>3410396
If you can't see your cursor you should stop using IE, it's broken as shit (yes, even IE9).

Working on columns, but its harder than you would think.

Saving the progress is a whole other story, we would need a user system and so on, which would take a lot of time to program.

Please exclude counterproductive stuff (receive treatment for radiation poisoning) and stuff that you can't plan (My Third and Final Form: Attend a class with only 3 tests, with the third test being the final.). /sci/ achievements are not about slacking, guise.

I agree..
Otherwise you would have to get treated for radiation poisoning in order to complete all the achievements and some will be impossible because they don't depend on you. Having good/bad luck is not an achivement, working hard IS/

>> No.3410504

/sci/ this isn't fair for us who have a degree and have been out of school for a while now. While some if not most we might have achieved in our schooling, we will never be able to complete the entire thing with out having to go back for a second or third bachelors and even into grad school. While I wholly support this idea, there should be a means for those of us who have already surpassed that portion of our lives to complete this challenge.

Soft Shell Krabs: Memorize the Krebs cycle, and be able to draw it on command.

hey man, can you like make drugs? : Learn and make at least 5 synthetic illegal drugs.

I SEE the INVISIBLE : Fully comprehend the Principle of mutual exclusion in relation to IR and Raman

Gambling the Market: Read and understand W.D Gann, using his own charts.

Too many of those rely on uncontrollable outside forces to achieve (i.e. whether the lecturer misses classes)
