Q1. if you have a closed syringe, in space, that is stopped up, and you try to pull it open what will happen? and if it opens are you stretching space?

Q2.is it possible for an object to have a terminal velocity fast enough to catch on fire like a space ship does on reentry?

Q3. how would a child develop if he was born and lived his life in space(at no gravity)?

Q4. the most likely people to get hit by lighting are those who have been hit before. is that because being hit once decreases your resistance or were these people just born less resistive?

Q5. if you are in space and have a rope tied to a rock can you swing it around your head? what happens as the mass of the rock increases? or the length of the rope increases?

I'm no physics major but here I go:

Q1: If there's no air outside the syringe and you pull it open it will do so normally, since there's no pressure difference to make it difficult.
Q2: I don't know, but air does have friction so it seems possible.
Q3:The child would grow up very weak physically and be unable to live on the Earth's surface. Like someone bedridden I guess.
Q4: Some people have really shitty luck in life.
Q5: Yes, you can swing things around in space. The only force involved is the movement of the thing holding the rope, the rest will react naturally except with less friction due to lack of air. The rock's mass will make no difference until it starts being the center of gravity due to no gravity and therefore no weight. Longer rope means the spinning takes longer.

2> Yes. This is what happens to meteorites and shit. Usually though, it's the deacceleration that occurs when they hit the atmosphere that causes them to heat up and burn.

3. Idk much about biology but i'm pretty sure their bones would be fucked. probably more shit that could go wrong too.

4. The most likely people to get hit by lightning are people who go outside during lightning storms.

5 Yes, you'd just have to keep the rope taunt.

1. answered above, no pressure differential, easily slide out, air inside, you'll have trouble holding the thing since the air trying to force itself out of the syringe

2. depends, most likely no, in a sense that if you bring some object to some altitude and let it go, it'll never catch on fire. The meteorite/shuttle, have massive speed before entry, if your object just standing there and drop back to earth, no, it doesn't.

3. he'll be huge, his mucles will likely be very weak, most likely he/she will have long limbs, but weak bones and muscles, tendons. some change in circulation i guess.

4. being hit by lightning have nothing to do with resistance, wrong place, wrong time.

5. I imagine you can, it'll take some skills though moving your whole arm at the beginning, mass of the rock doesn't really matter, length of the string however could matter, if the length of the string is much longer than your arm.
