It's clearly a sardonic display of the author's detestation toward the utilization of portmanteaus and neologisms quite commonly by the hoi polloi of the 'netizenry'. The comic is clearly a burlesque travesty of the normally more serious and academic tone the character displays and the aforementioned colloquial verbiage that he is now using.
