Hey /<span class="math">\psi[/spoiler]/,
What writing material do you guys use? Pic related, but I am thinking about switching to the Pilot G-2 05 or 0.38 even. Does anyone have any experience with those?

I actually like the writing feel of a fountain pen. Unfortunately, it tends to smudge easily and I find them to e somewhat fragile, not too mention very expensive for something I quite often lose. Therefore, I find a fountain pen to be not very practical.

Fuck that shit.
For pencil, I use generic, cheap .07 mechanical pencils.
For pen, Pilot Precise V5 extra fine.
I have never had a single foul-up with those pens; no jamming, clogging, or spewing. Best pens I have ever experienced, and they aren't much more expensive than those shitty 100 pen packs that die after you write twice with them.
Pic related. Pens.

It's one of the useful ones. a) day.month.year for readability, b) year-month-day (ISO-8601) for sorting files and convenience when you're used to it.
