Just curious to see how many coders we have out there.

I can do it in:
C
C++
Java
Python
Haskell
LISP
Prolog
and strangely enough MIPS assembly.

>> No.3273007

lol bet you can't do it in alpha omega.

fuckin gduchabgeabg

>> No.3273013

I can hardly even do it in assembly

>> No.3273020

Well first I'd have to look up how to implement quicksort in my data structures textbook so currently zero.

I don't consider myself to be from /g/ if that's what you're implying?

if you make comments like that, you don't know what programming is like.

>> No.3273030

I'm not sure knowing how to implement quicksort or any arbitrary data sorting method x is a good way to measure your knowledge of a programming language
Good thing /sci/ cares about actual programming not just fighting about languages like /g/

Also, /g/ is technology = gadgets and operating systems not programming.

Oh man, I remember that from way back when I used to emulate UO. Can't say that I could still implement quicksort, though.

I’m not fluent in all of this languages, but quicksort is something dipshit easy, so i would be fine with most of the languages out there.

I haven't programmed in years, although I do recall implementing quicksort in Java in my programming principles course in first year. It was probably like 200 lines though, and far more inefficient than it should have been. That fuckin' course man... I got a 59 in it, and the answer to almost all of my programming questions used faaaaaaaaaar too much code. My girlfriend took it the next semester and I watched her do some of those assignments and most of the answers were like 5 to 10 lines long and I got so pissed off that only then did I learn it was as easy as it was.

I usually try to solve problems that aren't already well-implemented in a million libraries across every language except malbolge.
assembly, C, and scheme.

Once upon a time, python, java, lua, and C++. Lua is great, but usually I just use scheme (PC) and C (microcontrollers).

I was a math major so I took a C++ class in university and got a job with a company that's big on SAP stuff. I don't see any reason to learn other languages.
