IQ is the best known measure of intelligence. It's obviously not PERFECT, but it is quite efficient. A genius isn't going to score low on a test asking relatively basic questions. Likewise, a retard isn't going to accidentally get a high score.

There is no meaning. Trying to apply meaning to something as raw as life is anthropomorphism. "Meaning" is a human concept. It does not apply to the nature of life no more than "meaning" applies to the way the sun rises and falls.

It simply does. Cause and effect. Tide goes in, tide goes out, never a miscommunication. These are results of physical processes.

Life is the result of a largely physical process. All organisms have arisen from a single cell; mitosis and meiosis brings the diversity of life and the complexity of your human body.

To test if there is any legitimate "meaning" to life, we should look at "lower" animals. Take the life of a frog, for instance. To sum up the essence of his entire life as we are looking retrospectively, everything he has done in his life revolves around his metabolic needs dictated by his inherited genome. We see this pattern in all life forms, including humans. Your entire life is and will be simply the actualization of your genome. What you accomplish to benefit other humans, and perhaps other life forms, will not have any ultimate bearing on the essence of your life, because you still were a biological organism who lived and died.

Live
[Fill in blank, this step does not matter]
Reproduce
Die
Rinse, repeat

There is no meaning here. Billions and billions of ants have gone through this process. It's unlikely anything awaited them after they decomposed.

I think you meant to say aren't mutually exclusive, do you at least recognise that there are many different facets of intelligence and that IQ tests tend not to test for all of them? Not only that but intelligence itself has a fairly shaky definition, is someone with a good short term memory intelligent? How about someone who is good at verbal logic? How about someone who has good spatial reasoning? Now which of these people is the most intelligent? Their minds are suited to different tasks but that doesn't make one objectively better than the other.

You're right. That was an error.

As far as the different types of intelligence, I agree that those do exist. But I think general intelligence does exist. A person with high general intelligence would score higher on everything, while maintaining the proportions in accordance with their talents. So visually if you were comparing the test scores of two people who were respectively more talented at verbal reasoning (one with lower general intelligence, other higher), the graph for the high-general person would be stretched vertically.

I see what you're getting at, and certainly you could find people who are simply better at all facets of thought than others. But it doesn't necessarily define a 'total order' i.e. there are some people who you can't really say are more intelligent than others for precisely this reason, maybe someone is moderately intelligent in everything and someone else is highly intelligent in one thing but functionally retarded in others, how do you place values on the various aspects of intelligence in order to compare them? There isn't really a simple way of doing it without being at least somewhat arbitrary. Also I think

You need logic to solve IQ tests, with a better logic you solve more questions, so the IQ result is correlated to the amount of logic you can display. Would you argue that logic is not correlated with intelligence ?
