Should society make an effort to contact the un-contacted tribes of the world? Or should they be left alone?

>> No.3265499 [DELETED]

Are there even any left which are uncontacted?
and sure, why the hell not. Atl east give them the choice, maybe they are like the amish and prefer a shit life, but we should at least give them the opportunity of living like us if they want to .

For the love all that is decent we should not ruin and enslave them.

We have grown. Just not those people.
Self determination should be a right for all humans, so long as it does no harm to others. Leaving them alone will do nothing. We can even study them (somehow. I'm not an anthropologist.) for some pretty awesome insight into ancient tribal societies.
But then again, the act of observing will create new problems. If they know they're being observed, they will behave differently.

We don't have a free market, you are ignorant if you think we do. In a free market you could set up a fruit stand in the city without the city government's approval and license, and in a free market "corporations" do not exist.

These primitive people have free markets. Fiat currency is antithetical to free market as well. We live in a plutocracy, a corporatist statehood which calls itself a free market, and when it demands "deregulation" it's really talking about the ability for the bigger corporations to lobby and manipulate the state into sustaining monopolies and oligopolies.

We do not live in anything close to a free market, these savages do, and they probably feel significantly less oppressed than the average man in the civilized world.

The real reason we keep seeing retarded end of the world cataclysm theories (2012!!) is because people WANT something to happen to blow the fuck out of the whole system. People are "predicting" this shit because they want it to happen.

Yes, they're not children, they need to know what's happening in the rest of the world, they need to know about agricultural and industrial civilization, science, technology, democracy and history. Of course we should communicate with them as other tribes would communicate with them so as not to disrupt their society and cause them to start sacrificing people to our helicopters or whatever. We should say "there have been big things happening far away among other tribes, not necessarily good or bad, nothing to do with the gods, those flying things you saw earlier, they're just kites or arrows large enough for men to ride on them, chillax".

well maybe, I suppose concerning who owns property and why currency makes a big difference, they might see property in the same way as 2 siblings view their toys, some are wholly their own, others they share but are not exactly the same as things neither of them own like a stick on the floor, under capitalism something is either legally owned by someone or it isn't end of story.

I think you're confusing communitarian and/or paternalistic systems with 'free market'.

Communitarian =/= Communism or state capitalism.

it's like small scale groups like this live in a communitarian paternalistic settlement.

What you said about corporatism and cataclysm theories is bullshit but you may be right about the opression.

>> No.3266154

No because we don't have any unification in science or religion and trying to teach them how we lived and what it means to be educated (read, decisions) would simply confound them as they grew up under the one religion and belief.

Or in other words, christians would probably convert them as they are not able to comprehend the arguementitive shithole that is modern science.
