I want to slap the person that wrote the highest rated comment and all the ones that hit thumbs up.

oooorrrrr alternatively the guy has gas mixing with his water supply. AND THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED!!!!!!

That fire doesn't even look real. Fire would be brighter than that, and he'd probably have singed his arm hair. Furthermore, why does his very-wet hand not continue burning?

no this has happened to me. There was a gas well explosion about a half mile away from my house, and it disturbed another pocket of natural gas nearly underneath our home. the gas leaked into our water supply. Flammable water...or so it appears to be, it's really just the gas.

Hydrogen. An unmistakable orange slow flame with not too extreme heat output. That's hydrogen alright.

Are there any problems with drinking hydrogen-laced water, other than potential human combustion situations?

>> No.3249895

hydrogen is produced in waterlines.. namely metal water pipes. Electrolysis occurs from small amounts of current running through the pipe and hydrogen is a byproduct. What happens when you turn on the faucet? The water comes out.. yep right along with the gas.

Also, the companies response to that video was hilarious - "The hydraulic fracturing did not cause the natural gas to get into the water systems."

>> No.3249966

all the natural gas proponents talk about how it is mostly water they use to frack the rock but fight like crazy not to disclose what the other shit is.

anything else, in quantities significant enough to be relavent, would be too expensive to make this profitable.
