hey my first time on /sci
currently doing intergration by parts in maths anyone willing to solve the equation in my pic with workings ?

>> No.3225885

no, workings is too much typing, but here's a hint

e^x cos(x) integration by parts you do twice and end up with e^x cos(x) where you started, but with a negative sign, so you move to the LHS and have a result for 2*integral e^x cos(x), which you then half.

it's a neat trick.

use twice integration by parts each time differentiating the cos() or the e^() until you get the original integral time some constant and then re-express the whole thing to get all the integrals on left and solution will be on right.

Actually I just realized you can do the integration by parts 2N times where N is positive integer. So you can do it 4 or even 6 times as well.
