I had an idea. You would put on a pair of hi-tech glasses (which instead of lenses you've got a transparent LCD screen or something).

The glasses would link to your cellphone with bluetooth, your cellphone gets all the info, and BAM, shoots the required info onto your glasses.

WHY NOT?

I've also got other ideas that I'll be adding to this thread...

You wouldn't be able to focus on the glasses and background at the same time and many would not be able to focus on something that close to their eyes at all. They've had some limited success with this, but it's a lot more complicated than just using OLED or anything.

augmented reality idea I had yesterday that I was very excited about:

IRL mario karts

actual go-karts but with boxes, items, obstacles super-imposed on the screens
sensors around the track determine whether you've picked up an itme or hit an opponent with one
penalty for getting hit is a brief loss of speed, slight jerk sideways of the wheel, etc.

seemed like one of the best real-life video game applications that wouldn't even be too hard to do

This is just a concept, but if I was to make this, I would obviously want to find ways to overcome that. But thanks for the heads up, I didn't actually think of that.

This glove would link with the cellphone, allowing users to interact with their environment. If users were dedicated, or hated wearing the gloves, they could possibly have the sensors embedded in the tips of their fingers.
