MOGADISHU (Reuters) – Somali police said on Saturday that Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, one of Africa's most wanted al Qaeda operatives, was killed in the capital of the Horn of Africa country earlier this week.

Police? I thought Somalia was a libertarian paradise with no government.

From Wikipedia:

Since the outbreak of the Somali Civil War in 1991 there has been no central government control over most of the country's territory. The internationally recognized Transitional Federal Government controls only a small part of the country.

So it was obviously in the small part of the country that actually has a government. The rest is still a libertarian paradise aka anarchy.

Said what exactly? That silly people claim Somalia is a libertarian paradise because there is no government, even though there is clearly a, and several, government there? I agree they are silly.....

Do you think Somalia's condition would be better if there was complete anarchy?

>> No.3209630

>>3209627

Depends on how anarchy is defined. In no definition could you claim it is anarchy now as there is at least one government, and actually many more. If crimes committed make it anarchy, then every country is in anarchy. And the term is pointless.

but many rules are so lax. it's almost like a libertarian paradise.

learn to read. Or do you wish to be called "Bert", since your trip contains that word?

for all practical purposes it's an anarchy. And if what passes for police in the region has enough balls to go kill a terrorist, then it's for the best.

As it is, it just stands to prove that pure anarchy where everyone is free and respectful to each other with no outside coercion is complete and utter bullshit and any attempt to implement it must inevitably fail harder than communism.

Lax rules? You meant to say much harsher punishment for much less.

>>3209681

Anarchy has nothing to do with freedom for all, just freedom for individuals. And any individual has the freedom to kill, rape, and torture another for any reason.

>>3209682

Somalia is top tier country when compared to all countries in Africa.
