What would happen if America were removed from the global economy?

Google yields no results for articles like this. Also help me find some.

China & Europe would probably fight/compete over being the next super power (maybe more civilised than than USSR vs. US) but other than that, years of economic depression and slow paced technology
World would at least be running in unison on the metric system without the US's bastard influence slowing it down

how do you grow mushrooms on books like that?

>> No.3185178

America is more of a consumer. With a large loss in a market the economy would shrink for sure.

China would most likely assume it's role with EU tailing it.

Canada would collapse since it's major trading partner is gone and would have to spend more to trade with EU/China.

Isreal would die because the arabs have nothing holding them back and they could also sell their oils to china.

The global economy would crash, and the world would probably fall into unimaginable, irreparable chaos.

You need to read The Post-American World by Fareed Zakaria. Yes, books are good for something besides growing mushrooms on.
