Shameless self-bump for antimatter glory.

>> No.3180095

already heard about it, it means nothing.

wait until they keep it long enough to do experiments on then it'll be interesting.

read about it back in April or early May, still very cool event. Now they need to know if it falls up or down

OP here...."dumbfuck" is a little strong, don't ya think....?

>> No.3180142

Woooahh. Thats a long time. What were they able to trap? Antiprotons?

Antihydrogen, using the awesome power of magnets

>> No.3180154

the Large Hadron Collider will create moar antimatter and in quantities that can actually be used in experiments

Third party here, nothing is too strong for someone who brags about reading it a month ago and calls other people slow while using the wrong image

this WAS the large hadron collider

What the fuck am I reading?

Anyways, interesting info. I'm excited to see what kind of information comes from the experiments.

Does stable antimatter exist?

>>3180198
Yes, but it's ANTI-stable.

Think about it.

>> No.3180228

>>3180205
So, it takes the instability away from unstable matter?

>> No.3180238

>>3180198
It seems to be rare in the universe, or we'd see more scattered gamma-ray events. Like a background of particle annihilation.

But there's nothing inherently unstable about it. It just annihilates normal matter. If you leave antimatter by itself in deep space it's fine.

I dunno man, my mind is blown.
