This thread is about memory. How the fuck do people remember birthdays? Does it suddenly just pop into their heads when the birthday of a person happens?

I cant remember shit. I am getting fucked by my bad memory on a weekly basis.

stopped smoking weed ages ago(months) and i dont believe that games will help with the physical capacity of my brain. Are you telling me that you guys automatically remember shit when needed? I only remember important shit that i must remember or else ill be in big trouble, like paying taxes, changing the sheets and shit like that. Some people can remember the birthday of everyone. I mean, i could remember that. But i wouldnt remember it on the exact date the birthday of a person would be on..

It doesn't. To your biology, masturbation is not any different from intercourse. It would seem like a major evolutionary glitch if sex were a detriment. If anything, regular ejaculation is healthy and reduces your risk for prostate cancer.

Anyway OP, there are severals theories about memory's structure, the most common being the Sensorial Memory, Short Term Memory, Working Memory and Long Term Memory type. You problem could either be that you simply don't stock information from STM to LTM (the STM being of a few seconds), or that you don't organise the information in your LTM or even that you have problem recalling it from your LTM to the instant because nothing particulary stimulates you to recall it (25th of january is a friend's birthday, but you don't pay attention to the date when you're on it).

P.S. Did you know that during feodalism, sometimes a father (for instance) would beat the crap out of his son after he showed him the limits of their property so he could remember it more easily? (Stronger mnemonic trace)
