Hey /sci/

Was watching some people argue on youtube about religion and atheism, homosexuality and evolution and the like.

So as someone who believes in a scientific approach to understanding the universe I belong to a group that believes other groups (creationists and so on) to be full of shit. And they feel the same way about my group and all the others that aren't them. So we are all in the same boat, except for one crucial difference.

I'm right. That makes me feel like an asshole, but I mean...come on.

Don't know there was a point to any of this, but I feel troubled, not shaken, but unsociable. Any advice?

But try as I might, I just don't have it in me to respect the creationist viewpoint. I'm not saying I know how the universe works or the intricacies of how evolution occurred, I'm just saying that I know the Earth isn't 5000 years old, that all species now existing have not always been, and that at no point were they all on one boat together.

I get that arguing with them is fruitless, but it bothers me that they feel the same certainty about the truth of their beliefs as I do about their falsity,
