When they, as a group, then use those randomly generated sounds in the same contexts, then quickly develope the newly formed words into larger concepts, then yes, you have a language. At least, the very start of one. These robots were only programmed to talk about places. What if we then add sensors and programming to understand and talk about colors, shapes, the weather, and increasingly more?

This very well might be the breakthrough we've been waiting for.
