Alright, imagine this. A volcano is erupting super violently and you have the technology to send the primary explosion and flying lava to an alternate dimension where nothing would be affected by it. My questions are...

1)Doesn't the law of conservation of mass prevent something a long the lines of making shit disappear like that?

2)even though you could save lives would you let it happen? Let's say it was in Italy, It would take out a good chunck of people, and maybe some ancient structures and all, but do you think maybe it could act as a balancing kind of act for over population and stuff?

3) If someone has the tech to do the first mention teleportation do you think they'd have the ability to just teleport it somewhere else on Earth? Like the middle of the ocean? Make like a new island or something? What would the repercussions of this be?
