Hey /sci/ i want to ask you guys if being motherly is instinctual or learned. I recently visited my year and a half niece. She was holding onto a bear which she kept on rocking and caring for, she also got very defensive if anyone but her mother laid their hands on it including me and my brother. She also did this with a lot of other toys she had, she also displayed favoritism and treated one she liked with obviously more care. So did she learn this or was she born with it? Maybe she learned how to care from her mother caring her but then again would a child so young be able to know what it was doing as a result
