My friends are throwing around bible quotes on Facebook. Can someone give me some unsavoury, cited quotes. Things to do with killing virgins if they are raped or killing homosexuals and the like.

i havent read it all, but i have read bits of it, and i know he gist.
i'm very often critical of religion in general, so i figure i should at least read some holy books so that i actually know what it is i disbelieve in, and can make reasonable arguments against it.
at some point i plan to read the koran as well, i just havent gotten round to it yet.

Uhm, sorry, but I didn't take *anything* out of context. They're not "talking about how fucked they're going to be for disobeying God", as you put it; they're simply hyping themselves up for a war against the Babylonians. "Happy/Blessed be the one who takes your babies, etc." is really just that: A glorification of committing infanticide.
