You must choose /sci/

Spread your genes and have a child
-Never get to speak, see, or have any say in its upbringing, which will leave the child in the deepest depths of ignorance.

or

Teach a kids the ways of the world; and I guess you get a free nanny to change diapers and and cook for him/her.
-The kid is not yours.

>> No.3056724

The latter.

>> No.3056732

Second one definitely.

>> No.3056739

>>3056708
The second one. No doubt!

>> No.3056743

Latter. Why should I care if it's my own genes? Too many kids without homes already, anyway.

>> No.3056749

Depends on the mental condition of the kid in the latter question, but I'd probably choose option #2 just as well.

>> No.3056752

if I can choose the gender, no.2, and female, then after a couple of years I would have a child with her.

Alex Grey!

>> No.3056763

I'd rather not do that at all, but if I have to choose, I'd choose the former. Not really interested in kids.

>> No.3056765

The first one, no question.

>After a couple of years.

...you would have sex with a 2 year old?

>> No.3056802

Second one. Spreading ideas is just as important if not more important then spreading genes.

>> No.3056815

second. you got me at teach and free nanny

>> No.3056826

Second.

Though most people I know think everything is about genes and human nature rather than upbringing.

>> No.3056851

I think it's a bigger accomplishment if the child learns for himself than to be shielding and guided by a parent.
My parents don't have formal education because they immigrated here.

I taught myself everything, I never had the parents to help me with homework.

Fucking lol'd

Also:
Second

>> No.3056856

I take choice 3, "do anything else, so long as it has nothing to do with any children".

So you didn't go to school?

Second one.

Pic related.

>> No.3056865

The only reason I'm interested in having children is to perpetuate my genes, in the most basic biological sense.

I have friends, cousins, and people on the Internet to try to foist my opinions on. Hell, I'm not even particularly interested in THAT.

>> No.3056871

I would prefer the kid to be mine but I've had this discussion plenty of times with people and I'm fine with option two.
